Detailed Description

Valcom's UHF Monopole antenna is a rugged vertical antenna designed to cover the frequency range of 220-400MHz. The antenna is comprised of a conductive braid molded within a rugged rubber shell. This creates a flexible and durable antenna that is both water proof and damage resistant.

The antenna can easily handle 100 Watts continuous RF power over the entire frequency range with a VSWR of less than 2.0:1. The RF input connector is a BNC-TYPE receptacle located at the base of the antenna.

The monopole is designed to operate most effectively on a metal-top vehicle acting as a ground plane. As well, the antenna can be used as part of a mast-mounted ground plane antenna (NSN 5985-21-884-8204)
